Social Networking in Plain English

 Program

Social networking isn't just for teenagers anymore. More and more businesses and professionals are using social networking tools as a way to interact with customers (both internally and externally.) When statistics show more people are using social networking than email, then it's time to stand up, take notice and join the movement. For business professionals, this becomes an opportunity to develop an internal marketing and communications medium for our organizations.

But what exactly is social networking and how do we get started? This presentation offers an introduction to the purpose of social networking (it's not what you might think), how you can become a proficient user of social networking tools, and the philosophy for implementing a social networking strategy in your organization.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the growing trend of social networking and its internal impact on the organization, individual departments and employees.
  2. Discuss the most common social networking sites, their audiences and what that means to your business.
  3. Learn the pros and cons for implementing a social networking strategy
